So. I just ordered a laptop from this site for around 1,200 or so. (Nice site,
btw.) I don't know if I'm making a mistake with laptops though. This will have
been my 5th laptop since 2004. Every laptop I've owned has begun to overheat to
the point of doom after a relatively short period of ownership, except for my
latest, which has Vista on it and no hardware compatibility with XP, so yea..
It's a paper-weight. (desktops aren't an option for me either)
So, I say all that to say; I'm taking a risk with this purchase, but out of all
the sites I researched, this was by far the only one that made me feel the most
comfortable with that risk.
Good job.

Hi G---. I received the AMD laptop with the Go 7800 GTX in
it. Wow.. what a machine! I am very impressed.
Everything is working great. Setup was a breeze and as far as gaming goes, the
performance matches my desktop rig step for step. Essentially.. it screams!
Can't thank you enough for all you help. Talk to you again when the next
generation nVidia cards are out.

Us: Another satisfied customer ...that's what
makes us happy (not money) well OK money helps keep us happy too.
i just found the site doing a search for what
i wanted in a laptop and your site was the one that popped up and you had
exactly what i wanted and will be getting it soon.
I like the fact that you offer more than other website (some by far) and are
cheaper than most.
plus...you gotta love the geek humor.
the feedbacks are hilarious (some of them anyway)
but I do have a complaint ...
you guys (used generally) are liars,
there is no annlanders.com
thanks anyway
Joshua
I don't know why but I just had the unmistakable urge to read
the feedback page, it was probably the most fun I've had in weeks. That's
because I'm an amazingly talented and gifted critic of everyone's flaws and
short comings. First of all feel free to bombard me with rebutal, before this is
over you will surely know i deserve it. The phone company person has been living
a little too close to the chemical plant or maybe the chemicals are actually in
her bathtub. Open a window or somethin darlin you ain't gonna last much longer.
I now have a good idea why my phone never works right! It's always dialing that
annoying person on the other end that says "God Lock" yourself in your car with
the garage door closed, the fresh air will do you well. Then when you here the
"plain" flyin over you will know your on your way to the endless complainers
house. By the way spelling is over rated anyway, just get a good spell checking
program and you can spend hours telling it how to spell your way. So in
conclusion, if you are feeling confused, contact luis at compdummies101.com, he
will definitely be able to help you realize youaren't quite as confused as you
may have thought, or are you? I'm not sure i think I may be a bit perplexed! Or
plastered ? one of those anyway. Happy holidaysall, find things that make you
happy. It's worth it, believe me, and thanks to all the special people that have
brought my happiness today. Love this sight>>Brian in Texas....did i spel dat
rite? Oh well I'll just edit my spel cheker.

i wish i had saved all the money/aggravation that i have spent on junk in the
past. i use a solo 9100 w/trident(old faithful)-both may have derogatory
meaning-, and limit my exploits for sure, just got tired of all the desktops and
many sit in closet collect dust. Some of them have less miles on them than
fingerprints. I started to think that polaroid was making everyhing, until i
realized i could still get a good photo of the gap between my ears if i held my
mouth right for about 37 cents. i have enjoyed the info section and feel i have
learned alot about different types of systems, very informative. I can't see
myself buying anything but top of the line dtr in the future. now i have a more
educated understanding of processors and ddr, etc... for applications i use (at
work of course}. Thank you sincerely, Brian
You have a great website. I have been
reviewing your informational articles. There great and very informative.
They have been answering alot of question that I've had. The latest your
site has helped me with is setting up my dual channel correctly. Until
I've found your site my dual channel configuration was wrong. Your site
speaks very clearly and with a cool tone that keeps your attention and
makes you feel relaxed about new subjects. The tone of the writing also
comunicates the fast that tinkering with computers is cool and
interesting like working on a classic car. Also the search field works
fine. Thanks for your site. I'll be visiting it often and will place the
site in my favorites. Thanks again and have a blessed week.

I just stumbled on your site by accident looking up
what a beeping noise means for my old intel mobo. Found my answer on
your site. It was one of the few sites I found that made everything
clear. No technical jargon or mumbo jumbo. Just an answer. Now thats a
good sign for a good site.
Thank you!

Hello,
I sent a comment just recently via the "free pc" page. Included in the
comments I stated that I was glad to see that the website did not look
like it was made from the same cookie-cutter template like the other
websites that sell computer parts.
I wanted to further comment that everything seems to be well laid out...
I was particularly prompted to send this further comment after visiting
the motherboard/cpu combo page which -- I thought -- was nicely laid out
so that you could pick your options, know how much you were adding, etc.
I don't send comments to websites often (actually, rarely, and usually
only when I have a big complaint of some sort that irritated this very
easy-going, mostly non-irritatable person). Thus summary of this is that
I was quite pleased with the website.

Your layout is consistent and easy to navigate. And I especially like
the many pictures around the site. People like to "see" what they are
getting themselves into. I place quotation marks around "see" because on
the internet it is widely assumed the product may vary from the picture,
which is fine. Continuing, I also like the informal descriptions and
comments strewn about the site, setting a casual and welcoming
atmosphere to shop in. I am a current customer, and plan on continuing
business in the future. By the way, the computer-giveaway contest is an
exceptional touch!

I came accross your website in search for motherboards out of personal interest and I was shocked to see almost complete systems going for similar prices as single MB's from other vendors. Then it blew my mind to see "Free PC" on the menu bar and I couldn't believe it! No where else have I seen anything like that, I was scared to click on it expecting it to be a popup! But nothing I've looked at has been worthwhile to me until I came accross your website to see your prices, and with that I think it's crazy to give out free PCs. However it would be a dream come true to me because I have never won anything like a computer, please consider my comments. Your website has left an impression on me and it really wouldn't irk me if the survery was much, much longer - 4 questions, no flashy annoying banners, helpful information, links to Google, all the parts of MB listed when you look at a system? Geesh, I'm 17, broke, and try to find reasons to convince people their computer needs an upgrade. Thank you for your time and taking your time to produce such a great website.

Hi, I work at Best Buy and research PC's and your prices are mostly on spot. There seems to be a large leap between 533Mhz FSB and 800, but I suppose for now the prices will be this way. Great job on the site . . . I need a new PC so I will definitely return here.
Thanks for the contest, it's an awesome gesture to the consumers ~ Joon P. Tampa, FL
Us: Wow! Thank you! Comments:
I found that this site is quite reasonable with your prices. You seem to have far lower prices than Tiger Direct, of whom I'm a customer. Marina P.
Us: Sometimes we're lower
and sometimes not. Thank you! Comments:
I have to say I really appreciate the lack of flashing banners and pop up ads. not to mention the tasteful, simple graphics load fast. I also appreciate the way you point out the parts for those who are not familiar with them. I've been building computers for years and most of the sites I've been to either assume the user knows what they are looking at so they do not label it, or they assume the user does not know what they are looking at so they substitute a different unlabeled picture instead.
Us: We try and please. Look for our new website design soon.
Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in the overall performance - particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NFL 5.0 and NBA 3.0. Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, to no avail. What can I do?

Very interesting! I hadn't thought about it before visiting your site, but I'm now thinking of building my own PC. One customer commented that he built one for $500 using parts bought from you vs. $2000 for a similar PC from a "big name company". Several of my friends will be interested in knowing about you!

I have been trying to find websites offering very affordable computers containing Pentium 4 processors or equivalent, at least 512mb RAM, etc.. WITHOUT an operating system as I already have XP Pro. I really enjoyed your site and whether or not I am successful in this computer contest I will definitely be returning here as well as recommending it to co-workers and friends. Thank you. Sincerly yours James D
Us: A few people write us and complain that we do not include an O.S. The answer is above. Many companies more or less force the issue on customers. Though I may not like ice cream, I knew the answer to the Groucho Marx question WITHOUT the use of the hand! HA!
I find your site to be one of the most reasonable as far as pricing AND navigation. Some of your competitors (we won't name names, like "Tiger" or "Direct") have very difficult to navigate sites with good prices and outrageous shipping costs.
Thank you for remaining a site for the consumer rather than a greed machine!

I just recently stumbled upon your site by imputing FREE COMPUTERS on my browser and clicked on you. From what I've gathered in the past 5 minutes I've been surfin' your site, I would have to say that this is by far the easiest, user-friendly product site I've been on in a long while. In closing, I'd just like to say, "Keep up the good work!".

Hello, I ordered a barebones system from you about two weeks ago and I must say I am HIGHLY impressed with what you sent. It was well put together, made of quality components with names I recognized and allowed me to construct a system I had been practically dreaming about. In the future I will be buying from you again and look forward to it.
Us: Thank you.
I think that besides "slowing down your system", it might make a few more customers for you; the information you present is very useful and you could call it comp dummies 101. Other than that, it is great. Luis

I have been looking for a website where I can win a free computer without having to jump through a million hoops to do it only to get to the end and find out it isn't a free contest at all! Carol
Us: We agree.
GREAT WEBSITE, FIRST TIME I HAVE ON THE WEBSITE, LOOKING TO GET A FEW COMPUTERS FOR MULT FAMILY MEMBERS, I AM THE FAMILY TECH, AND YOUR SYSTEMS LOOK GOOD, I HATE BUYING COMPAQ, HP, GATEWAY, ECT COMPUTERS, I LIKE TO BUILD MY OWN I JUST DON'T GET ENOUGHT TIME TO DO IT, SO I MIGHT GO WITH SOME OF YOUR PREBUILD ONES.
Us: We agree I find the site quite a marvel and as a video editor(digital) I discover that in order to be consistent, competitive, you need to have very basic knowledge on how the computer operation affects your delivery deadline and final output. That I found through visiting this site understanding how important is every component of the computer so I am very grateful for the service you provide
Us: Wow, thank you. my gad!!!zooks!!! your warehouse must be the size of RHODE ISLAND!! (no chg. for lg. type) thanks for the great prices and service...your sales-man was very friendly and helpfull.i'll be fwd.ing your site to all my friends.do i win something cool now????

Car Game Comments:
You guys (and maybe a few gals) are the funniest. Without actually being labeled as a comedy site you fair well within your own niche of humor. I kind of like the layout of the site. I do appreciate that since you are having a good year that you are willing to pass your good tidings to your customers. As an avid reader and follower of the tech community, I am happy to see a small (at least I think you are small) business that is willing to give back to the community in any way. As we live in a age of more is better, it's nice to see that some are willing to give up in order to secure a positive reputation in the community. Keep up the good work. I will enjoy doing business with your company in the future. And I will continue to recommend your company to friends and acquaintances.
Us: Many thanks!
i'm just learning about computers...and so far you guys have been more help than dell...and i love the car game...and i tried to play the pipe game...but it says i need coffee apples or something...do you sell those? and if so...are they expensive?
Us: tee-hee.
I think your site is great. I am trying to convince my family and friends to buy what they want in a computer, so your bare bones systems are the perfect starting place. You have some great prices and list the components out with specs separately, I love it.
Us: Praise indeed.
if you're as cute as you are smart...i'd like to meet you. then maybe you could tell me how to win something cool from your company...waddaya say?
Us: Hmmm.
Site Has a little room for improvement...such as the buttions at the top are to plane..
Us: On page 269 there is a spell-check download.
I like the basic design but it is somewhat confusing.
Us: Maybe you should contact this next person.
It is a simple straight forward site. I like that. Thank you.
Us: You're welcome ...thank you.

Question #3 - that's a paradox ;)
On #4 - Your site isn't all ooooh flashy pretty stuff!!! But it loads fast, and it's informative. And in all honesty, I'm sure the people on dial up LOVE you! (I'm not one, btw, but I was one at one time)
Too many sites have all the flashy pretties and none of the content. You have a good enough site, you don't need to use more bandwidth and time. People will appreciate the clean look and feel. Well, at least I do.
Us: Thank you.
While I am far from a computer expert, I have gotten the insatiable urge to build my own. While gleaning information from as many sources as I could, I stumbled across this site. I am very pleased (almost excited) about all of the information included in this site, and know that I will use this for the good of mankind. Okay, but I will use it for the good of me and my family, which is still pretty good!
Us: We love our customers and prospective customers.

Greetings, I am anxiously awaiting my order. It should be here the 7th. I ordered a bare bones kit; this is my first try at building a computer. I feel very confident I will have success my first go around, because of the great info on your site. My kids will be happy too, because it`s for them. Thank you, If I can ever refer business your way I certainly will. Jeff
Us: Thank you Jeff!

Us: We're running in little circles and peeing all over ourselves.
was very pleased to finally find a site that doesnt have 20 or 30 pop up ads in it, not to mention simple and direct searching for products and prices. please continue this tradition guys. as for the possibility of winning a new pc with my luck this response will be lost. never won anything in my life. i just keep piecing this thing together til my kids get jobs or move out then i can get my pc my way.you know the one with athlon 2400 xp, 512 ddr mem,128 bit sound and video,80 gig hd, dvd and cdrw,10/100 intel pro ethernet, and last but not least a 17in flat panel monitor. jeez i have a wonderful dream huh. i have visited all but your overclock and bios sites. excellent work, please keep it up and someday ill buy my system from yall.
Us: We can't figure out why pop-ups exist ...well, except for the fact most studies have found the ads work. Frankly, we don't give a d_ _ _.
I built a great machine and the phone support was very helpful. I built a $2.000 dollar machine for under $500 dollars. I will be back again. Thanks James H
